The bumble bee in my painting is about to do the same

I wanted to capture the fantail's inquisitive nature

is NZ's only native owl and mainly lives in forests

I chose the soft yellow colour for the background to portray the brightness and new life of spring and to compliment the warm red and brown tones of the rest of the painting
