His charming Folk Art style started with wood working, and then onto painting in 2007. Comparably his works are similar to that of Maud Lewis, and Gramma Moses. Experimentation was vital for his practice, Poppa would add texture and depth to his pieces using metal and braiding to create three dimensional pieces. In his lifespan Poppa created over 2000 works, and has
