Based upon the Porsche 930 Turbo, the full size car was developed to compete in international Group 4 sports car racing in that same year. Of the 31 examples produced of this dominant car, a number were run by private teams including that of Kremer Racing, which featured German air conditioning company Vaillant as its main sponsor, in a distinctive cobalt green livery that
