"Harvard Hall, New York", Eugene Higgins, Amer., (1874-1958) Linocut but publication was again stalledEtching, 1910, 9 5 8 x 6 5 16, Ed. at least 8, signed in pencil with title at bottom left margin edge, on very thin cream wove japan,a few tack holes top left margin, tipped to a slightly heavier cream wove support paper, printed together. A departure from Higgins' humanist subject matter, as well as technique, this interior view of Harvard Hall demonstrates Higgins' unexpected expertise in rendering an architectural subject with admirable precision.
