Released on Nov. 7, 1995, it was certified 2x Multi Platinum by the RIAA for two million copies sold on April 10, 1996.* The album produced the classic rap track "Gangsta's Paradise", which went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and almost every other world chart. It also won a Grammy in 1996 for Best Solo Rap Performance and was included on the soundtrack for the film Dangerous Minds.
