"A Ford" by George Hand Wright, Amer., (1872-1951) Chromolithograph Etching and DrypointEtching, ca. 1940's, ed. probably 100, 7 11 16 x 10 15 16, signed & titled in pencil, on thin cream laid paper. George Hand Wright was a fine painter, illustrator and printmaker who was part of the Westport Connecticut area art community. Most of his work was devoted to portrayals of people at work and leisure in rural and sometimes urban communities, showing ways of life which were changing significantly in the early twentieth century.
