This is the practise of moving with your cattle to make the most of summer grazing on the mountainside

Winter Farm ~ linen collage little hill farm When we were children weWinter Farm was inspired by a place I see on a walk near my home here in County Down. At first glance you might expect the fields look bleak at this time of year but I find there is so much inspitation in the details of the landscape and the muted colours. A collage made from my little lino cuts hand printed on Irish linen. I use different types of linen, some very old, to make my collages. I sew the pieces together by hand using a variety of stitches
