Yellow Billed Cuckoo and Pawpaw Botanical Wall Plaque marbled pottery mug 1) sculpting and painting underlayerThis piece shows a yellow billed cuckoo with paw paw flowers and leaves. This piece was created by hand sculpting the bird and branch, cutting it in half, and hollowing it out for a lighter piece and also for structural integrity during the firing process. The oval base and is capped with a covering near the top to hide the hole used for hanging. The back of the piece is laid with a mirror mosaic which illuminates the piece, and also creates movement
